Our 2011 program includes this new blog feature. Visit it to stay in touch with members of the Swanwick community and feel free to add your comments!
This year the program includes more monthly Inquiry Sunday sessions, one of these specifically focused on J.Krishnamurti's teaching, as well as more facility rentals that are not shown on the website.
The scheduled group retreats revolve around two themes: those of ‘The Journey of Awakening’ (in two parts) and ‘Creating a New Earth’. In them we include selections from J.Krishnamurti and other well-known teachers.
There is also now the opportunity for personal retreats, with access to our newly expanded library and a serene ocean-front setting at very affordable rates!
In case you're wondering who's who at Swanwick: Our long-time property manager Luis looks after the buildings and grounds. He is assisted by our other resident Greg Marian who hosted our winter program and also has been active holding his own 'meetings-in-being' in the Victoria area.
David Bruneau has been a long-time friend and kindred spirit who came to Swanwick when it was still a Krishnamurti school many years ago. In recent years he has been co-hosting retreats with me at the Centre and he facilitates the group dialogues. I also initially worked at the school and now manage the Swanwick programs and rentals.
Lindy Macarthur is continuing from last year as our congenial office manager, as is Stefan Jonsson, our website developer. Stefan has done a great job with our website 'facelift' and his support in promoting Swanwick's vision is much appreciated.
And then there is Amigo, our lovable four-legged receptionist sure to give you an enthusiastic welcome on your next visit to Swanwick!
