Welcome to the Krishnamurti Educational Centre of Canada

KECC's mandate is to offer a space and programs to study the teaching of J.Krishnamurti on freedom, truth and the awakening of intelligence and, through inquiry, provide opportunities for insight and the transformation of consciousness. To this end it also includes in its programs other contemporary teachings that offer further pointers to such an inquiry.

Its Swanwick Centre is located in Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The Centre sits on 32 acres of ocean-front property offering magnificent views of the Strait of Juan De Fuca and the snow-capped Olympic mountains of Washington State, as well as nature trails that wind their way through meadows, forest and along the scenic coastline.

The Centre hosts events and group retreats and is available for personal retreats and facility rentals.

Our Spring Program: a Preview

Swanwick Centre will offer two retreats this spring:

"The Power of Presence" on April 20-22 will present a rare retreat recently held by Eckhart Tolle, on DVD.

"Meditation and Insight" on May 18-20 will be a retreat/workshop hosted by Dr. Hillary Rodrigues, professor of religious studies and author of 'Krishnamurti's Insight', that explores and contrasts the teachings of J.Krishnamurti and the Buddha.

Both events will allow for an extended stay at Swanwick at a reduced rate.

The Krishnamurti Educational Centre of Canada
was incorporated in 1975. J.Krishnamurti selected the name for the Centre and was Honorary President for many years.
