The Great Apparent Seeming

Right here it must be said that this is a bit of a departure from my ‘normal’ blog and may in fact even seem like a teaching of sorts...however, it is just some seeming ramblings of an apparent character named Robert.

"It is truth that liberates, not your effort to be free."

- J. Krishnamurti

Maybe the essence of this famous quote is hidden, so to speak.

Perhaps, by taking a closer look, the hidden meaning might be revealed...or maybe not.

Is there actually a ‘you’ who can make an effort?

Or, any ‘one’ who can be liberated at all!?

This is perhaps the only true value of self-enquiry to the illusory entity…as it can reveal that there is no actual entity inside the body that can be liberated.

Never the less, in this dream or play of existence, there seems to be an apparent entity seeking to be liberated.

And this apparent entity seems to be making some kind of effort to bring this apparent liberation about.

And, seeming to follow some kind of apparent path or process.

However, liberation appears to happen 'in spite' of any effort... and not because of following any seeming path or process, including self-enquiry.

Look at Ramana Maharshi or Eckhart Tolle or Mooji, just to name a few body/minds through which liberation has apparently 'happened'...through no special effort or path or process.

Even though 'truth' seems to be expressing through these forms as a teaching or process...ie: self-inquiry, staying in the Now etc.

They didn't practice any such thing!

From this perspective JK didn't 'find the key to freedom'... liberation had already apparently happened before he was discovered on the beach.
