Submitted by admin on June 14, 2013 - 4:35pmThe Swanwick Centre is a truly magical place. I spent almost an entire month here and found everything I needed to heal, gather new strength, and find new inspiration for the next steps on my path. It was wonderful to get away from the city for a little while and spend some quiet time surrounded by all the beautiful things nature has to offer. I loved going for walks on the property, discovering new treasures every day, relaxing by the beach, saying hello to the rabbits every night and every morning, playing the piano in the guest cottage, among so many other things. The Observer and the Observed
Submitted by admin on December 1, 2012 - 11:44am“Is the observer different from the thing which he observes? It is different only as long as he gives it a name; but if you do not give it a name, the observer is the observed. There is an integration between the observer and the observed which exists only when there is no naming.” – J. Krishnamurti
Attempting to meditate is not meditation
Submitted by admin on May 22, 2012 - 3:51pmAny form of conscious meditation is not the real thing; it can never be. Deliberate attempt to meditate is not meditation. It must happen; it cannot be invited. Meditation is not the play of the mind, nor of desire or pleasure. All attempts to meditate is the very denial of it. Only be aware of what you are thinking and doing and nothing else...Every form of meditation leads inevitable to deception, to illusion - for desire blinds.

Not Minding What Happens
Submitted by admin on May 5, 2012 - 1:00pmJ. Krishnamurti, the great Indian philosopher and spiritual teacher, spoke and traveled almost continuously all over the world for more than fifty years attempting to convey through words—which are content—that which is beyond words, beyond content. At one of his talks in the later part of his life, he surprised his audience by asking, “Do you want to know my secret?” Everyone became very alert. Many people in the audience had been coming to listen to him for twenty or thirty years and still failed to grasp the essence of his teaching. Read more »

As human beings we are all capable of inquiry
Submitted by admin on May 7, 2011 - 10:58am“As human beings we are all capable of inquiry, of discovery, and this whole process is meditation. Meditation is inquiry into the very being of the meditator. You cannot meditate without self-knowledge, without being aware of the ways of your own mind, from the superficial responses to the most complex subtleties of thought. I am sure it is not really difficult to know, to be aware of oneself; but it is difficult for most of us because we are so afraid to inquire, to grope, to search out. Our fear is not of the unknown but of letting go of the known. Read more »
